United Nationalities of Marbella Summit 2025
United Nationalities of Marbella Summit 2025
#UNMS2025 This is our 9th annual summit and this year’s aim is to consolidate and bring together charities, associations and key stakeholders to foster collaboration and develop sustainable solutions for the elderly community on the Costa del Sol.
Uniting strengths for the elderly on the Costa del Sol
National statistics for Spain indicate that about 19.6% of the population is aged 65 and over. Applying this percentage to the Costa del Sol, it’s reasonable to assume that there are approximately 276,000 residents aged 65 and above in the region.
Why This Event is Essential
Bridging gaps in support
Improved coordination means elderly residents can better navigate available resources.
Establishing a Centralised Helpline
A help line with fluent Spanish-speakers, preferably native, is urgently needed to assist with administrative paperwork
Improving Access to Social care, Healthcare & Support Services
Many elderly residents face difficulties in finding qualified nurses, carers, or appropriate financial aid. A shared network would streamline these processes and improve accessibility.
Advocacy for Better Support
A united approach strengthens our ability to work with local authorities, pushing for improved resources, funding, and policy changes that benefit elderly care.
Maximising Impact Through Collaboration:
By joining forces, we can amplify our collective efforts, drive meaningful change, and create long-term solutions for the elderly community.
SPONSORSHIP & DONATIONS
Sponsorship funds and donations will be destined entirely to covering the costs of uniting the associations and charities to this event and providing qualified home nurses to those who can’t afford it, through Hadas Caradas..
